چکیده
This paper aims to analyse the distribution and temporal evolution of convective precipitation in Mediterranean region Spain. To accomplish this goal, we used 148 sets 5-min rainfall rate data from 1989–2015 period. The selected regions were Júcar Hydrographic Confederation (CHJ) Internal Basins Catalonia (CIC), which cover most autonomous communities Valencian Community (east Spain). average intensity threshold 35 mm/h ? parameter, defined as ratio between versus total any period, characterise precipitation. Convective episodes categorised “very convective”, “moderately “slightly convective” based on value. After quality control, series 129 stations clustered into homogeneous zones that also include one variables characterisation. results show can contribute annual by up 16% average, but it is generated a very small percentage events (between 3% 6% across all stations) comparison with number episodes. In sense, moderately are common, predominantly unimodal monthly ?, summer season. Trends significant increase precipitation, CHJ. On other hand, positive trend predominant CIC region, despite an overall decrease analysed These relevant given extreme daily does not or trend, they line impact climate change increased atmospheric instability water vapour atmosphere. They highlight need work sub-daily case Mediterranean, mainly affected flash floods.

Mite exposure in a Spanish Mediterranean region.
BACKGROUND Knowledge of the domestic mite fauna and allergen levels is important for a correct diagnosis and treatment of mite allergy. Our objectives were to describe the domestic mite fauna in the region of Murcia, Spain, to quantify mite allergens in dust samples obtained from mattresses of this area and to assess the influence of geographical, climatic and dwelling factors. METHODS Dust s...

This paper analyses current precipitation rates (PRs) and trends over the Mediterranean Sea region and their response to global climate change scenarios. The analysis uses 0.25° gridded PRs dataset over a 13-year period (1998– 2010) based on remote sensing data from the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission. Future scenarios use the results of six global climate models (GCMs) under four represent...

متن کاملTrends in precipitation and stream flow in the semi-arid region of Atrak River Basin, North Khorasan, Iran
In this paper trends of precipitation and stream flow are analyzed in the Atrak River basin in the North Khorasan province. Normal score linear regression, Mann-Kendall, and Seasonal Kendall trend tests were adopted. Three precipitation variables and two stream flow variables including total precipitation, maximum daily precipitation, and number of rainy days, mean discharge and peak discharge ...
متن کاملRole of orography in the spatial distribution of precipitation over the Spanish Mediterranean zone
The effects of orography on the precipitation field in the Spanish Mediterranean zone are studied through numerical simulations from a climatological point of view. The main atmospheric patterns that produce significant precipitation in the considered area, derived in a previous study, have been used as input data. The numerical simulations have been performed using the HIRLAM model. We isolate...
